Panicking!

i have this kind of filter

and when i disconnected the heater and filter to clean it , it was fine but now reconnecting it, its not working! im super scared!!! dont know what to do!!!

could they have both burnt out?

take a glass of water out of the tank and (prime) pour into your filter nothing to stress over its ok they all do that

but i did try that but its not even making the sound of the motor running

No need to panic, just take some time to fiddle with it and see if itll start up again. May sound stupid but make sure the outlet your pluggin into didnt trip a breaker

try pulling out the impeller and reseating it may not be seated correctly
