Question About a New Tank.....

I have an 80 gallon tank, the glass is 1/4 inch thick and I was just curious if that is thick enough or if I may have problems. The 80 gallon tank is homemade, and the boughten 40 gallon tank I have also has 1/4 inch thick glass. I am slightly concerned.

I don't have a 75 or 80 sitting around here to check, but my All Glass Aquarium brand 55g is 1/4" glass. My large tank, 150g is acrylic and it's 1/2".
