can you wire two fluorescent tubes to one starter unit?

for example could I wire two 18" (15w each) actinic tubes to one 30w (or above) starter unit, only it would be easier to manage and cheaper than buying another starter unit and would mean less wires to plug in, cheers.

I really have no idea, but I don't think you can. I think it would be easier and safer to just buy a new fixture. Check out eBay for some cheap ones.
