Recommend a Replacement Pump for a Turbo Floater Multi?

Can anyone recommend a replacement pump for a turbofloater 1000 multi. The ocean runner 2500 ph died tonight after about 4 yrs of solid use. Not sure if that is good or bad the 4yrs that is, . The skimmer has been performing well for me, just wondering if a larger pump would boost its performance or should I stick with the recommended pump?

i would stick with the recommended pump. I run two of those skimmers and I think you really need that needle wheel setup.
