RO/DI quick question

just started my Kent maximma RO/DI unit. i remove the 3rd canister ffilter per instructions for the first 10 gallons.

i have clear water on the first and second canister
No 3rd filter in yet until after the first 10 gallons.
then i have Tea Color water on the third. Is that what the "product water" is to look like before going thru the last filtration? it seems to be clearing up.

by the way, i want drinking water also. is the waste water good drinking water? the instructions say to take the water for drinking before the 3rd filter. does that mean i have to cut and install a T section there? or where?

I wouldn't drink the waste water. Usually you use the RO water for drinking and the DI water just for aquarium use. Otherwise you'll go through the DI pretty quick.

update, the brown tea color water quickly went away. guess it was flusshing something out.
