My mp40 just fell off the side of my tank. I cannot get them to reconnect. There is severe vibrations. The propeller has some give in it. Is there supposed to be able to move up and down the shaft?

No it shouldn't. Sounds like whatever broke is causing such severe vibrations it is overpowering the magnet.
