wet/dry filter water pump suggestions

It's gonna be for a ~250 gallon tank. What kind of water pump would y'all recommend? I guess reliablilty over time would be the thing that i'm most concerned with. I'm probably gonna buy 2 pumps, for redundency reasons.

What type of tank are you setting up? this matters since if u go reef then you must have at least 1500 gph divided in 2 pumps. if not, for a fish only tank the key is not to have any dead spots. so, it more the placement of it instead of the power. However by having two, insure constant flow in case one fails.

It's accually gonna be a freshwater, I was also planning on a couple powerheads for circulation. It's bout 8 ft long so i figure powerheads would be nessacary

Also, Any brand recommendations for pump type?
