Hi I was just wondering if anyone could tell me when fry start having their colors? I have 3 guppy fry that were an orange color when they were born now they are about a month old and are white. They have been white for weeks now but one of them is getting pretty big.

Update my 12 platty fry are still doing great. :)

A newborn platy will often have its basic body color without the added markings at birth and will start to show things like micky mouse markings at 6 to 8 weeks. guppies have a basic grey body color in most cases so the first time you will notice coloring is when the markins start to fill in at about the same 6 to 8 weeks. The color will gradually intensify over a considerable amount of time but they should have full adult colors by 4 to 6 months.
