I have had my giant danios breed twice and most of the fry was eaten before I could get them so I wanted to isolate the female next time but idk how to tell if she is carrying eggs and how do I know which male she is breeding with so I can isolate them?

Ok I'm pretty sure that danios scatter their eggs in the substrate so maybe you could move them to a different tank when the females are gravid :/ just an idea I've never tried to breed any egg laying fish.

Yeah danios are eggs scatters and I would move the female and the other danios to a different tank but idk how to tell if the female is gravid. Also do I have to move all five danios or just the female and a male?

When the female starts to get fat is when she is gravid but don't check her for being fat after a feeding. I guess you could move just a pair.
