I have a 37g freshwater community tank.
Heavy planted.
1 male guppy 3 females.
5 neon tetras. 5 cardinals.
5 panda cories
2 rubber lip plecos.

I want a centerpiece fish large enough to pick off a few of the fry I get. But not eat my tetras. Would a Bolivian ram work in that way? Or maybe a gourami?

Thanks in advance

Both gouramis and bolivian rams would more than likely eat the fry. I would probably just leave the tank as is.

Rubberlips get up to 6".

i would take out 1 rubberlip, then you could add the ram.IMO,you wont have any problems with fry,the guppys and tetras will "take care of them":evilbat:

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you wanted something that wouldn't bother the fry. I would definately try to remove one of the plecos and then add a dwarf gourami as a centerpeice fish. He and the tetras would make quick work of most of the fry.
