Last week I placed one of my very pregnant guppies in my "nursery" tank (5 gal) and this morning I woke up to find that she had dropped around 32 new fry!
I am concerned about the filter. When I did come downstairs to find the new fry, I noticed that at least 3 were stuck on the filter (which is covered by pany hose to prevent any fry swimming to close to get sucked up into the filtration system) I turned off the filter immediately and haven't turned it back on since.
What should I do? My previous batch of fry did not have any problems with the filter in regards to swimming too close and getting stuck...but I'm nervous if any more guppy fry swim too close and stick to the filter it will kill them.
Anyone experience the same thing before or have any advice? Thanks!
