I was encouraged to start a thread to show off my first success. I didn't intend to breed these guys but they had other plans.

After an unsuccesful attempt of pulling eggs off the wall and separating them, I left the next couple batches in the tank. After they all disappeared, saw mom snacking on them, I was resigned to the fact that it just wasn't in the cards. A few weeks later, lo and behold, I saw this little guy swimming around. His will to survive is astonishing. He is about 3/4 inch and growing fast since he is being guarded by a TMNT. [emoji2]

Yes, that's the cats favorite spot to lay. He will sometimes turn and watch the fish but mostly just lounges in front.

The TMNT is my son's addition which makes it "our" tank. He is 7 and loves to help with maintenance. He's got the bug!

My cats use my tanks as drinking fountains and the guppies are so dumb they swim right up to the cats' faces.
