Platy fry question

The babies are about 2 weeks old now. I netted 4 and all but one died in the mesh box, so I released the last one to join the 4 main tank fry. All 5 are doing great and no one seems interested in eating them anymore.

I noticed that the "free" babies had much darker coloring than the ones in "captivity." They are almost dark grey vs clear. Is that normal???? The recently released baby is the only clear one.

That makes sense! Ok. Well. I guess when sunset has her babies I will just let nature take its course and let the smart ones survive. It's only a 20g. So...

Yea that's what I do with all my fry except my african fry a lot actually do make it if planted heavily
