i was just browsing some of the tanks in here, but i cant remember who's tank this was?

a Q to the owner, what sort of fish is this?

i have one thats identical, but i just call it a "mystery fish".
would love to know what it is.

ive always assumed its some kind of zebra ?

Hi, that is my smugmug page and the fish is a Demasoni. They are a great fish but you really need to have at least a dozen of them because any less and they can be pretty aggressive. I currently have 15 Demasoni juvies and the same number of Yellow Labs. They were all added at the same time and they are all about the same size, so they get along well together.

do you think my 'mystery fish' looks like a Demasoni ?

in the first pic he was showing off, so "peacock" (the boss) come out and told him to settle down.

yeah, my boss is a skin-pink coloured peacock of some variety. but he's a really cool fish with lots of personality.

actually, comparing the pics one post apart, i doubt he's a demasoni. just doesnt look the same ?

i think the colours in your demasoni's bars are different.

owell, ill just have to get used to calling it a mystery fish.

Hello my name is James, I'm an experienced fish keeper since I was young. This is my 36 gallon bow front peacock aquascape. I've been building it for two years it's been a lot of time and hard work. I'm happy to tell everyone that I have finally completed it. I have live plants, two very beautiful young peacocks, African driftwood, florite substrate, custom co2 injection, aquaclear filters, a heater, t5 zoo med daylight and floral lighting and an aerator (which I will remove in a few months after the plants grow large enough to supply more oxygen. Oh my filtration is normally only one filter. the aquaclear 70 turned down 50 percent for increased filtration value. I added the aquaclear 30 the other day to increase the amount of mechanical filtration due to an algae bloom. The algae bloom almost ruined my water completely after I added new florite substrate. It will be removed soon to lower the nitrate levels. I'm explaining this so everyone knows why my tank is a little cloudy and why I have so much filtration at the moment. Thanks
