Did a huge rearrange today. Also changed the light fixture from duel t5ho to duel t8s.

Oh wow Mumma!! It looks really good!! I like the greenery at the top and how you kept it to the left and the wood piece on the left. Almost separates the tank!! Very well scaped but then again you probably knew that already but I still wanted to tell ya!! :)

Awesome job!!

Quick question not to get off topic. How do your plants fair with your crew? Also what are those round things hanging in front of the tank?

Thanks!'

I never thought about hanging the cucumber...I had to pin it under the rock.

Thanks Dino. :) The round things are zucchini on forks. I stab them onto a fork and jam the fork into the sliding glass top. That way I don't have to put my entire arm in the tank to retrieve the fork. I was too lazy to remove them or turn off the tv to take the pic. The plants do ok. Some of the new growth gets nipped off and they are prone to algae but other than that so far so good. They still grow well. I use to have two massive sword plants if you remember but I had to remove them. Not because the cichlids destroyed them but because the bristlenoses stripped them, only leaving the leafs skeleton.

My 60 g cichlid tank

Fish: Jack dempsy, 2 Rainbow Cich. 2 Electric yellow, 2 Anchor Island, Itungi "red cap" lethrinops, Ruby red peacock, Hap. Electric blue, 3 Demasoni, Chinese algae eater.
I also have 2 rainbow sharks, and a few Australian Rainbow fish in there as well.
Equipment: I run a 60g size (100w?) Aqueon heater, Fluval aquaclear 70 filter, Marineland penquin 150 filter, 21w UV sterilizer "green killing machine", 2 air stones. I also have the 48" Aqueon Modular LED with 3 colormax LED bulbs.
Food: Cichlid flakes, crisps, pellets. Bloodworms, Brine shrimp, Ghost shrimp, Krill, Beef Heart, Tubifex worms, and muisquito larvae, also spinach, and arugula for my rainbow cichlids.
This week I will be switching substrates for Caribsea's African Sahara Cichlid sand, and adding 10 rock caves. Pics to follow, but I was excited to show what I have now.
