Okay, I have a bunch if fish in my 29G Biocube Reef. Before I begin, keep in mind that this is my first tank, let alone marine, let alone REEF. That being said, I don't want very difficult fish. Now, let's begin! :D

I have some fish and inverts. Here is a full list of my stock.
FISH:
2 Occelaris Clownfish
1 bicolor dottyback
1 six line wrasse

Inverts:
1 Blood Shrimp
1 Lettuce Nudibranch
1 Emerald Crab
1 Fighter Conch
6 Turbo Snails

Corals:
1 Frogspawn Coral

And that's all! I also have a patch if GSP, but it was in my live rock, and not completely alive. It's there, it's growing, but isn't very healthy looking. It keeps growing back, but looks dried out, to put it bluntly. My emerald crab and wrasse eat it, but I don't mind. It's not very attractive, as a matter of fact.

So, for fish. Now what? I was thinking maybe one or two more fish. Probably a Pygmy angelfish, most likely a cherub, flame, or coral beauty.
Then maybe a goby or some sort of burrowing/perching fish, or a few pajama cardinals. I think that would be overstocking, but I would add the final two fish in long spanses to keep my bio filter working.

Your thoughts? We'll discuss corals and inverts later.

And finally, my dottyback. He's only an inch or less, but I'm afraid he'll eat my shrimp (3 inches). Should I worry? They seem fine right now.
Thanks!

I would say a definite no on any dwarf angels because they really need a bigger tank. I would suggest maybe adding 1 - 2 more fish at most.

These are some of the fish I would look at potentially adding

Blue reef chromis
Watchman goby
Midas Blenny
Firefish
Pygmy wrasse

Maybe the fire fish, but I don't know. Thanks for those suggestions! I'm still most likely going to do the angel (I apologize for my ignorance), but none of the other fish seem colorful enough to me. I want something with strange behavior that doesn't look very... Fish-like.

The big problem with a dwarf angel is that they are very territorial and as such will tend to terrorize their tank mates unless they have a large enough tank 70g+

+1. And with the clowns already established you may have some aggression issues. Keep in mind your display volume is not 29 gallons, I believe it's closer to the 24-25 range. I would say one more fish, and one that either resides in the sand bed or perches on the rocks not an open water swimmer

I agree with the above posters. I would for sure not do the pygmy angle, they can be aggressive in such a small tank and they can nip corals as well. That part is hit or miss, depends on the individual fish.

I would go with a firefish and maybe a percher, but nothing too terribly big.

I have had up to 7 fish in my biocube but that was due to the tank being old enough and me being able to handle the bioload. i also ran a decent skimmer and an upgraded filtration system. SO, in reality five fish is about right, but size and habits are a big decider.

Plus the angel will possibly nom your frogspawn. I'd skip it and look into a goby or blenny. Careful with the dottyback too, they're little menaces. I knew a guy who had one in a 120 and it terrorized everything from a Lamarcks angel to a gold stripe maroon

If you want something really colorful then go with a purple firefish. They are absolutely gorgeous fish.

I love helfrichis, but I'm terrified of wasting 100$ and killing it. But beautiful fish, as well as the fire fish! Thanks for the opinions guys! I'm definitely not getting the angel.

I would like you all to note I wasn't the one to suggest the Pygmy wrasse this time :D. And I would love a helfrichi but all my tanks are open top and that would just be an expensive carpet surfer.

I love possum wrasses! They're so cute! How are they, active-wise? Imm just afraid that it'll be harassed because all of my stock is semi-aggressive.

There pretty active, but pretty mellow too. Do you clowns host anything in the tank? And how polite is the dottyback?
