Oh and also my tank doesn't have a lid so I worry that they would jump out and die.

I don't have anything in my tank right now except for Mosquito larvae that aren't supposed to be there!

Just finished watching a YouTube video and this guy has/had cherry shrimp and the majority of them died from jumping out and not to mention he showed the dead ones on camera. Grossest thing ever, who shows their dead animals????!

I don't mind dead fish.. Part of life is death. Just when there is a fish who looks like he isn't 100% I check in the tank several times a day incase he dies so I can get him out as quickly as possible... Today I had a dead fish. It was a $.15 minnow :/ it was the only one in a one gallon tank(my trial tank) and he had actually lived for about 3-4 months! But the water was sooo cloudy because there isn't a filter and the tank is so small. Flushed him and really cleaned out my substrate and rescaped it a bit.

Just saying but flushing is bad for the water ways... Probably better to just trash the little guy. As mean as it seems that's what I do with my fish...

Has anyone gone to the fish market section and seen the dead fish whole or the dead shrimp whole? I have to close my eyes walking past that (that's how much it grosses me out). My friend chased me with a dead fish and put it in my hair when I was little....talk about a high pitched scream!

This is the scene when I drop in an algae wafer and the shrimp have had their fill. The MTS move in later to cleanup the rest since shrimp are messy eaters.

Here's an FTS. Low light, no ferts, no CO2, no vacuuming. Just water changes and algae wafers 3-4x a week. Tempted to remove all the crypts and just do moss and DW for a more simpler look.

Yeah but I have "trash duty" so I would get to smell it... :(

But if I flush it and it messes up the water pipes then I don't have a problem cause my parents have to fix it :D

Here's my progress on my 10 gallon shrimp tank. Has some baby lemon tetras/ panda Cory's in as well at the moment that accidentally hatched in here I'm waiting until they get bigger to move them to the 45 gallon.
