Before I get berated for my current stock, just suggest other things. Even if it is just 1 fish. Anyways I have a very mature (1.5 years old) 10 gallon tank with lots of plants. Here is a pic I took before a water change about a few weeks ago.
00303_aWTpNzRG293_600x450.jpg

Not much has changed except no betta anymore. Here is the current stock:
1x African Dwarf Frog
1x Panda Corydora
1x Emerald Corydora
1x Glolight Danio
1x Zebra Danio
1x Leopard Danio
1x Clown Loach
---
Explanations:
Yes there are many things wrong with this tank. 1 no real schools. There are no glolight danio nearby so I bought 3 leopard danio to compensate. The little one died and one disappeared leaving the current one. I then bought a white zebra danio (same color as the leopard) to make a school of three [or at least try]. Well the leopard (bigger) is picking on the zebra and the glolight (biggest) picks on the leopard. But I have seen the leopard try schooling with the glolight. The Emerald was one I felt bad for. He was by himself and I had a school of corydoras who I *hoped* would school with him. They didn't and eventually all died and now he is a lone ranger. Just recently I bought 4 panda corydora and they looked ok. They were all that was left and I said might as well get the lot. One by one they died and a week later only one is left. The clown loach was for a snail infestation I had. He looks fine, I don't plan to sell him or move him to a bigger tank until march or so, but even that will only be a 30 gallon. Sorry but that's my choice. The frog was because the girlfriend said so.
----
There now you have my reasons. What should I do (other than remove) to edit the inhabitants of my tank. I am really looking for a showpiece fish thats not a betta but is an open swimmer and non schooling. Dwarf gouramis are ok, but anything else? Thanks for the help. If you think I should add nothing, give me a stock list (using at least SOME of my current livestock) that would be better suited such as...
"Thats way too many fish. What about 5 Zebra danio a bristlenose pleco and a dwarf gourmai?"
Thanks a lot guys

I wouldn't suggest anything other then upgrading to a larger tank so you can increase the compatability and decrease the stress levels on your fish. A clown loach...can get massive and needs a small group of four...
Either rehome some of your fish to a larger tank and stick to the adf and something like a Betta but I'd move every other fish to some thing bigger and increase their schools.

It's not really fair to ask people to go against our concerns for the well being of fish.

How about keeping the frog, replacing the cories with Pygmy cories or Otos, and replacing the danios with a few swordtails. The frog might conveniently eat any swordtail fry.

I wouldn't do swordtails...maybe endlers.

No they might eat the baby's tho

I was wondering if swordtails are too big. Wouldn't the frog eat endlers?

It's possible they could but it would mostly be babies that they'd get and yes swordtails wouldn't work in a 10g they are like Molly's.

Thank you. I know the size of clown loaches. I worked at a fish store. I know these things haha. But thank you for actually giving a suggestion instead of just purely saying "upgrade". As said before I plan to upgrade to a 30 gallon in March (April by the time it cycles) but until then I do what I have to. I had multiple Bettas in there who have had a very hard time getting food. Even when spot fed (the filter is a bit strong). So I am trying to stay away from them for the time being. I would like increase the danio and cory schools, but I have to make do with what I have. I don't like giving my fish away because last time I gave my GreenTiger Barb away he was an emerald green and the others they put him with were a washed out green. You could clearly see a difference in health and I just am not okay with that.

As to swordtails, tried it and they died fairly quickly like the user above said. So not into those and endlers are not common in my area. But thank you again for suggesting something better. I don't mind you telling me to replace things, I just want an actual stocking list instead of a "just upgrade" post. Like Otos instead of cories is a good suggestion and I may consider it since I love otos.

What do you think you are going to get

Make sure water parameters are safe for my beloved fish. I believe in a fish in cycle but not with my already loved fish. I want to give them the same environment as they are getting plants and all

Ah.... Not trying to sound stupid or rude but if you're putting the fish you have into a new tank, why not put the old filter/media on the new tank with the water as well ? Many of us that have and have not worked at an LFS know this method for having an instantly cycled tank. Just add the missing water and it would be like a 66% WC.

+1 on that. You can simply cycle the tank that way.

Don't add any future fish till you have upgraded to your 30g. Then you can maybe consider the stocking plans of your 10g.

Hm. I never thought of it as a big water change. You're right. I will try that. And ok, lets say all these fish die out except the frog before I get the new tank. What if I do a tank that has endlers (5?) a dwarf gourami and ADF (someone said they had 6 in their 10 gallon tank since they are sociable and have a low bioload, how does that sound)?

The way they socialize has nothing to do with there bio lode

That actually sounds not bad. I would maybe do two or three ADF's since they'd be more sociable in a group and skip the DG. Get as many plants in there so the endlers don't feel threatened but still give room for them to move about.

Op didn't state that. Or at least I didn't understand it that way from what the op said.
