ok how old the tank is doesnt really matter..it matters how long the tank has been up and running and if the filter has established beneficial bacterial.

you said you cleaned the filter and gravel etc.. how did you clean the filter? did you use tap water? bleach? If you used tap water you possibly killed off the good bacteria in the filter.

best bet is to do a water change ASAP, and then get a liquid test kit tomorrow. I would bet money it is the water conditions that are causing your problems. The tank is not cycled causing high ammonia and nitrite levels.

you earlier said it was 2 months old, now 2 years. give us reliable information or else we can't help

When you moved it did you leave the filter in tank water?

Moving it, if you aren't super careful can kill all the bacteria. If you cleaned the gravel with regular tap water chances are it killed most or all of the good bacteria. A new filter paired with that pretty much garunteed it needed to be cycled all over again. If you cleaned the filter how did you clean it? The best is to just rinse with tank water. Same problem if you used tap- chlorine/chloramine kills good bacteria.

Can you get pics? Cotton looking on the tail and white spots sounds like velvet/fungus/some combo of the 3. Pictures could help us identify. Don't treat for ich unless you are absolutely sure. I would start by doing a big water change.

A pleco that large is super messy. I would re home him. It's just not a good choice with a discus because if the water quality they need. And adding him to that tank at that size could easily cause a mini cycle especially with just adding those discus. You probably quadrupled the bioload on top of you might have killed off the good bacteria cleaning

Depending on the filter type and if it dried out the bacteria is dead. Did you keep it wet in tank water? Dried or almost dried then tap water means you need to start the cycle over

and theres the reason your fish are dieing. He killed off all the good bacteria in the filter. Do water changes twice daily, and get a liquid test kit so you can test your water.

you can also get some seeding material and place it into the tank, this will help your tank cycle faster. Don't add meds, I'm almost positive now your problem is water quality related

Thanks will be getting a kit Tommorw !

his cleaning kills all bacteria. this in turns causes a cycle killing the discus. , return all healthy fish, do a fishless cycle.

your welcome. The issue was from cleaning the filter with tap water. Just do your water changes and keep the water clean. Like i said earlier, get some seeding material, it will help you tank cycle faster and good luck
