Bleed it!
Is that color changing DI resin?
My DIs both need to be bleed when I change them.

You are shutting off supply to unit when not in use???

REGARDLESS of where or what brand RO unit you get I HIGHLY recommend watching the videos on BRS that pertain to any questions you have.
GOOD INFO .

Boot the lace rock, it is a form of limestone. I would keep it simple and go straight blackwater, just sand, leaves and wood. I would also skip the BWE and get a bottle of humic acid it's like BWE on steroids, but you'll have to do some experimenting to get the right mix for your water.

I got the EXACT same humic acid on Gillies recommendation...
My angels change color in front of my eyes as I add it!

Ram has a funky bit on his rays extensions and pectorals. Fungus?

Keep an eye on it but like sini said I don't think big deal knowing all I do about you and fish...

None of my rams are in any substrate???
Almost looks like he just rubbed/ruffed up on the sand?
No new fish in his tank...
Just the girl????You switched girls I believe???

I always worry about the rams. treating with hex shield food atm so I'm apprehensive to use any other meds.

Are any of your fish showing signs of wasting???
Why exactly, and who are you using it for.
I believe it is clearly spelled out how(much/often) to use on bottle?

Bleed it? I just hooked it up, it's running fine now. Not sure about resin? I'll double check.
I'll check it out thanks!

Ill.be placing an order for the humic acid

I did just switch girls, new girl looks really good, old girl not so good.. she was getting a lot of attention.

Not wasting but every since I added the loaches I see some white stringy poos in the rams. It reccomends 3 days of treatment. Treating the 75 as well, smallest acara is showing a little sunken belly and the large male has a reddish hue in its tail section which I've read can be a sign of internal parasites. It's not that intense of a treatment is it?

Apisto elizabethae (probably not really elizabethae but sweet anyways)

NLS Thera A, cobalt flake, frozen brine shrimp, Glassworms, bloodworms on occasion.

Sounds sweet!
I would ditch the flakes unless there are other fish that require them and cant chew the pellets.

The neons gobble em up..

No I don't think it is too much.
I wouldn't over do it like with regular antibiotics and built up resistances though...
I honestly hold little stock in medicated foods at all and own or use none...:nono:
I believe those meds are water soluble and you should also use the 10 second rule when feeding...

No research on this per say, mostly opinion and a strong desire to kill whatever messes with my fish fast and hard , real meds at close to max if not above dose.
We all have to play DR. eventually.
Breeders and fish room owners don't mind spending a couple$ to save $$$ of fish...
And they want to KNOW they killed it!:banghead:

I know nothing about loaches but as far as MOST other tropical fish IMO many with 'wasting disease' have camalanus or other noticeable internal parasite.

The white poo thing ???

What's your source water parameters?

That's cool. When I had the rams with the neons I was using the thera A .5 mm and the neons had no problem with it. I'm not familiar with the cobalt line of food though. never used it.

My bleed it was just that canister..
I leave it loose till full of water then tighten , just quicker...
Treat old girl with TLC...
She should bounce back...
Does he like the new girl???

Gillie - what's the purpose of the humid acid...meaning what parameters does it change?

Humic acids are simply tannins, so it does the same as wood and leaves, just faster.

Source parameter suck.. I'd have to to recheck.. why? Could that cause intestinal issues?

He likes the new girl alot, she's pretty large too, twice the size as the other. I dunno if she'll bounce back. Hopefully! She was stressed to the max.

He hasn't shown anything like this before though. Ro to the rescue!!

Ro did about 10 gal overnight, dumped it. Set up 22 gal barrel, letting it run all day, hopefully I don't come home to a flooded basement:/ cleaned fluval c4, 100 watt heater should be ok for the 30?? Now just have to make through a 9.5 hr work day so I can run home and get the tank running. Hopefully pick up the new pistos Thursday.
