Thanks. My tank is primarily a New World cichlid tank, focusing on RT "Festae". Pictured is an adult female Festae. There also is a young adult male Festae, and a few juveniles. Despite what you read, the Festae aren't that bad. Mine are far less aggressive than Convicts. The tank boss is a GT "Rivulatus". He keeps the Festae in line. I keep a few African cichlids as dithers. The Silver Dollars are the spotted "Maculatus". I recently added a juvenile Red Texas cichlid as well as a standard Texas.

That is really cool. I was talking about the GT when I said gold saum, so many names for these guys but it's one of my favorite fish of all time. I had a gorgeous male who jumped from a tank about 3 months ago, even had a lid, he knocked it open. That male festae looks great too. Awesome taste in fish.

Here are my 2 tanks. The "blue" one is my 55 gal Mbuna. Which i am currently happy with. The "green" one is my 75 gal. With some small peacocks and haaps. As well as an electric blue accara. A baby blue convict. And a rainbow cichlid. Now this is where i need your help. Should i use this tank to go with peacocks and haaps. Or go more american. If american what would be some good tankmates.

My personal preference is with American / New World cichlids. I used Africans primarily as dither fish for my South Americans. I have since moved most of the africans to a reserve tank.
You already have an EB Accara, as well as a Convict "Just one of those" and a Rainbow cichlid. I would add one RIvulatus Green Terror Male and a pair of Fire Mouths. You might add a small school of Maculatus / Spotted Silver Dollars for movement. They stay relatively small.
I've learned that you can successfully keep Africans with aggressive New Worlds, but its awkward. New Worlds = River and Swamp fish, Africans = FW Reef. Not a good combination.

Note: Both your tanks look good.

Thank you! This is almost exactly what i was leaning twords. I have always wanted a green terror i think they r so beautiful. But i keep reading mixed opinions if they get to big for a 75 gal. Also do you think i would be able to keep tigar barbs with them?

My Green Terror spent the first 5 yrs. Of his life in a 65 gal. Tank. He grew up with a pair of Salvini Cichlids, Spotted Silver Dollars, Columbian Tetras, a few Denison Barbs, Green Tiger Barbs, Odessa Barbs,
a couple of small variety Plecos and a small Synodontis catfish.
The majority of GT's sold are the RIvulatus, or False GT. The males max out between 9 - 10 inches. The true GT grows larger and is said to be far more aggressive. IMO the RIvulatus is more colorful and a better all around fish. Only keep one per tank. They are relatively slow growers. Your 75 gal. is plenty big. If you get a chance read my thread titled "My best Fish".

Hi! New to the forum. Thought I would post one of my tanks. It is a 180 gallon with wild geophagus sveni.

Hi all, new to this hobby, would appreciate if the u pros could take a look at my set-up and let me know if it looks ok. I have a 50 gallon fusion acrylic tank, with a wet/dry 240 gph filter, and I added 2 air rocks... I currently have 7 cichlids in there now, I know i need more, just wanted to let my tank adjust. Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

Looks like you are off to a great start. Since it looks like you are keeping African cichlids, you might consider added a piece of Texas Holey rock to buffer the PH up a bit and provide additional hiding places.

Two shots of my 240 gallon built in Malawi tanks. 18 peacocks/haps, 5 petricolas, and three bristlenose plecos. I know I need a lot more cichlids, working on it...
