What are you using for your filter? It looks great!
Just a local brand canister filter and a diy filter with plastic bottle attach to a powerhead to trap those small dust floating around

So any plans on getting a proper home for the Oscar? Or the other 3 fish, one of which appears to be a flowerhorn?

Why such a small tank you have oscars and a flowerhorn that require at least 50g alone not including tank mates plus you have no subrate to create a blanket of good bacteria back your filtration is also lacking and you need a bigger tank now not later

First off the tank is well big enough for what is in it. The tank is not small for my fish in any way. As far as filtration I circulate 1200 gph. If you have anything else negative to say keep it to yourself please.

New here HELP!

Hello, I new to this forum, I finally got myself a fishtank, I have 1 Oscar (2 inches), 3 Red blood paretnfish (1.5 inches) a chocolate zebra placo (1.5 inches) and a blue lobster. All my fish seem happy, I have had them for a month now. However I just tested the water and the NITRITE is way high! Why? I feed my fish gohst shrimp, and the only thing I have added to my tank is aquarium salts. Could that have done it? What causes NITRITE to go high?? I have a 46 gallon by the way

I have an aquarium with 4 Parrot fishes, among which two are blood red Parrot and rest are Yellow Parrot. I'm keeping them from the last 1 month. I have also a pair of Malawi cichlid (yellow and blue). Hope they all will survive well and be happy [emoji1] IMG_20170605_175312.jpgP_20170607_192954_1.jpgP_20170607_232136_LL_1.jpg

Here's my mixed Americas 55 gallon. Three convicts, a pair of Jack Dempsey (male is an EBJD,) two female black Acaras, and about seven black skirts.

Oh, and a blue Florida cray.

Hi there! I have a male yellow ciclid hiding inside my drip woods 2 days already. but before that he was so aggressive and was chasing the rest of the fish then go bck inside. Its like he doesn't want anybody get inside. Its my first time to have a ciclid so no idea about this behavior. Is he spawning?

Yellow labidochromis? What kind of cichlid are you taking about? A fish won't spawn without a mate.

No such thing as a yellow Labidochromis.

Also mbuna commonly interbreed.

If the fish you believe to be holding is indeed a Labidochromis caeruleus, do you have any male mbuna in the tank?

I'll just leave this here.

Electric yellow and yellow lab are common names for the fish, Labidochromis caeruleus is the scientific name, you used half of each.

And I was adding a male of the same type isn't necessary for a holding mbuna, as they often interbreed.
