I have a male blue ram and he has this 'thing' on the side if his body. Pictures attached. I bought a male and female together and the female came with Ich and later died :(. The male never displayed any signs if Ich. It's been a month or more now and I noticed this spot on the side of his body...
The temp right now is at 82. The tank currently has two african dwarf frogs and the German Blue Ram.
I looked this morning and the male has one single dot. I guess I'll be more patient and wait and hope for the best!
About three weeks ago we bought two German blue rams from PetSmart. They looked perfectly healthy but as soon as they were added to the tank the female exploded with Ich! The male had one spot and it was soon gone. We raised the heat, etc etc and the female looked like it was getting better but...
I was wondering if live plants can survive with sand? Right now I have a layer of dirt with gravel over it but I'd much rather have white sand. My husband seems to think our plants won't do as well with sand but from all that I read... I think he might be wrong! Your advice is much appreciated.
