Folks--Guy at LFS said a banded pipefish is fine in a 14g biocube with a clown fish. Said its diet is live or frozen brine and Cyclops. I have your basic clean up crew with snails, hermits and a cleaner shrimp--- Question--Do you feel a banded Pipe fish is ok with these inhabitants? Thanks

Folks--these brown/black spots are not algae--they are discoloration from the heat of the ballast I assume--even the plastic housing is bumpy/irregular. Can i put a voltmeter on the pin ends of the unit where bulb attached and check to see if correct voltage is present? 120v? Thanks

folks-thanks for responses! They did have bags crushed coral also-this was very tiny bits of sea shells but the name on bag was Argonite --little label said "puca" Ok--so its machine by walmart? likely frozen water--its 8 degrees here today! NY-thanks
