Oops sorry forgot to add that info. He is in a 30 gallon which is what he has lived in for 8yrs with the previous owners. I believe that he is a common :)
I have no clue what is going on with my Pleco. He is about 8yrs old so I don't know if he is just slowing down or what.
I have posted about him a couple of weeks ago here
Yesterday I noticed his stomach is caving in and when I google it, it says they are hungry. Now I feed him just about every...
I am curious as to how much everyone feed's their fish?
Also with pleco's - how often do you feed them? Do you give them veggies once a day or once a week?
:fish2:
So it's been almost a week since I have noticed the bump. It's still there but he is doing fine. It looked like a blister the other day and now it's more blackish color. He is having no problems swimming or anything anymore so I am unsure of what it is?
Now my female that is just like him is...
I tested the water and everything came back just fine nothing to worry in that area. He only has that one buldge on one side. He has been laying low hiding lately. Maybe it was the female she jumped kicked him for always following her LOL
I had a problem with me 2nd tank last week that ya'll helped me fix & everything is fine. But now my 1st tank has a little sick fishy.
I have tried to take a picture but he moves so fast the quality of the image is crap. He has like a bulging bump on his side near his rib cage. It almost looks...
That's what I thought too at first but then the black skirts I have in the other tank look nothing like him. Their fins are more straight, this guys are longer and wavy.
This little guy came with the tank set up that was passed on from my neighbor.
They couldn't remember what he is, so I am asking yall :)
He is not blue- it's just the reflection from the gravel.
Thanks!
So the fish are doing a lot better and not gasping for air after I did a 50% water change. The water is kind cloudy but getting better. The pleco on the other hand still is getting some discoloration. Hopefully he pulls though...
Thanks Elise for all your help!
The fish that are gasping are the neons and the cherry barbs. I just found a neon dead :(
I will go ahead and do the water change. Do you think I should add some of the bacteria supplement?
Nope none of those sprays got in there. We don't use anything.
I just picked up some prime like one of the readers suggested. How much of a water change should I do?
I just double checked the test and they are still reading that.
Yup I waited the 5min like it said and it all came back like that.
Everything I see is that they are gasping for air because there is not enough oxygen in the water. The ammonia levels are fine so not sure what is going on. Do you think I should run and get a bigger bubbler then that little...
