the white stuff is on th part of the cord in the tank. I have a tetra whisper from walmart. It came with the tank. I did scrape it off the other day and it grew back even more.
Also I have put a cup of gravel in from an established (10 year old) tank.

I have a 20 gallon tank and i was trying to cycle it with ammonia. my ammonia sollution is 10%. For the first dose i put 3 teaspoons, which i now realize was too much. I tested the water and it is a blueish-green color which is off the chart. Please help
