Is there a such thing as a protein skimmer that is NOT in sump and is NOT hang on back? I don't have room behind the aquarium, nor in my sump for a sufficient skimmer and would like to plumb it in line en-route to the sump or after the sump. Is this possible, or are there any "stand alone"...

Have you tested your nitrates from your source water AFTER mixing in your marine salt / any buffering additives? When you do your water changes are you just taking water out, or using a gravel vaccuum to clean the sand bed? Do you have adequate water movement around and in all your live rocks...

My lights come on at 2pm as well, but on weekends when it comes on I've never noticed my fish twitching at all... clown, sailfin, foxface, and blue tang.

Were the LED"s dual... (2 per socket).. if so, do you happen to have the part numbers for them? My new fixture came with deep blue moon lights... I was experimenting earlier with diff colors, and cool white... (white with a hint of blue) looks best, and the fish/nightlife seem the least...

Yep, sounds normal.. give him time to settle in. They do enjoy light though.. at night time mine just hovers beneath the moon lights.

highly doubt it's the lunar's, you should be looking elsewhere, or for potential electricity entering the water system.
