Oh no... The otto isn't acting abnormally...it's constantly grazing, and pooping... It does kind of look constipated, but I did notice in the picture that there are a few light yellow spots on its abdomen. I've never had to deal with infections/parasites/other ailments. I'll have to look at...

Congrats on your new tank, but be careful. Your tank seems to be overstocked, so keep close watch on your parameters . I would agree that it is a good idea to move some fish to your 10 gallon when it is cycled. It seems like it is a beautiful community. Can you post pictures?

I inherited a 37gal tank that included a rubber lip pleco. Because he had already outgrown the tank, I donated him to a lfs and they were happy to take him. If you know that you're giving up your fish in their best interest (the clown loaches especially), then you shouldn't feel guilty. Enjoy...

I have two male gourami's in my 37 gal aquarium with no problems. In fact, they pretty much ingore each other. But a 12 gal aquarium is a different story. Good luck!
