Thanks for the confirmation. I don't know where it went, it disappeared overnight. But it's still fairly small so I can't see it doing anything to my fish...yet. But I'll keep an eye out. Thanks guys!!

No it doesn't look like the dragonfly. Probably is a damsel? But anyway, thank you for all your help :) I will keep an eye on it but all my babies are in another tank so it can't eat them. Thank you!!

It's very similar, but instead of the spikes/spines as a "tail" this one almost looks fluffy? :/ it's so hard to see as it's right at the back of my tank. If it is one of those, should I catch it or will it pose no threat? I'm actually treating for fin rot at the moment ( :( ) so not sure if...

Thanks Samzter. I've decided not to move them around anymore, as it just seems to be too stressful. I'll just watch out for babies and scoop them out before they get eaten. And also blue guppy had her babies about a week ago now and I managed to get 8 of them.

I soaked it in boiling water until tannins were gone and then some. So I don't think it was the driftwood. Thanks for your comment. It seems nobody knows much about dropsy. Otherwise I'm sure I would have had more help by now. But I really appreciate your help - thank you.

Yes, I cleaned the driftwood. The first photo is the most recent. I can add another if you want, she's gotten even bigger and more pine coning as well. I would say it is dropsy and would appreciate advice on that. But from what I've read there's no hope her getting better. IF it is...

Yes. I had her in the net over night. But I thought maybe she was a bit stressed and let her back into the main tank. I did a big water change too, but still no fry.

I've been adding driftwood to my tank. Is that messing around? My tap water is extremely alkaline. I thought it was too high for my fish species.

I've read it's a good level to have the pH....that's all. Do you know if I can do anything for my guppy?

Ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates were 20 and I did a 20% water change. Temp is 27 degrees celsius and pH is about 8. I've been struggling to keep it at a nice 7.5
