Thanks Samzter. I've decided not to move them around anymore, as it just seems to be too stressful. I'll just watch out for babies and scoop them out before they get eaten. And also blue guppy had her babies about a week ago now and I managed to get 8 of them.

I soaked it in boiling water until tannins were gone and then some. So I don't think it was the driftwood. Thanks for your comment. It seems nobody knows much about dropsy. Otherwise I'm sure I would have had more help by now. But I really appreciate your help - thank you.

I've been adding driftwood to my tank. Is that messing around? My tap water is extremely alkaline. I thought it was too high for my fish species.

Ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates were 20 and I did a 20% water change. Temp is 27 degrees celsius and pH is about 8. I've been struggling to keep it at a nice 7.5

She's a guppy. She's got stringy white poo, which they apparently get soon before giving birth but she's had that for over 12 hours now.

She's HUGE!! And her scales on her belly are starting to spread and spike. Could she just be extremely pregnant or is there more to it? I thought because she is so light I would be able to see the fry by now, but I can't. Is there something wrong with her? :(

So I swore last night my blue guppy was about ready to pop so I put her in the breeding net over night, but no babies and she even looks smaller somehow (if that's even possible) Now the yellow guppy looks more ready for her babies but I'm just not sure when :/ Any advice on how much longer...

Checked on her as soon as I woke up, and she's back to normal :) I'll be watching her closely today, but she seems like herself again. Yay!

I tried getting it out with tweezers, and she was really good...but her mouth is just too small. I guess I have to wait and see if she makes it :(
