Air stone in a 20g planted tank?

I run that same pump at night from three hours after my lights go off, to three before they come back on. It's more for the fishies than the plants as I run my co2 pretty high. Never had any issues, but I'd run it at night if your pumping in co2. Plants produce Oxygen during photosynthesis so ...

Your a kid and your Dad charges you for transportation ??? Yikes !! Anyway, I don't know why everybody dumps on Petco. Just like anyplace else, you just have to look at there stock carefully. My local Petco has better fish than the local ' boutique' shop 99% of the time. Cheaper too ! I got 14...

    Eco complete question

I've used both substrates and I would just add more sand. I didn't rinse my eco, but my eco-complete tank gave me fits from day one. P.I.T.A to plant any 'fine ' rooted plants, especially Monte Carlo, or any carpeting plant for that matter. Every morning they were floating or stuck to my filter...

    Help,First time growing monte carlo

Mine did the same thing after initial planting. Turned all brown and melted away, but as long as you see some new , green growth, it comes back. Keep it cut short when it starts to fill in or else it will lift out of the substrate. Love M.C., but I learned recently it has a ' shelf life'. Good...

Is there a transitional period for aquatic plants? (Beginner)

I usually let my tank run for a few weeks before adding plants, but melting is common. Some are more extreme than others, but I think most suffer some degree of melting. Hang in there, keep an eye on everything, and you'll start to see improvements. Plants started immersed will suffer the most.

    Best CO2 reactor/diffuser?

Folks might laugh, but I've been using a couple of 'cheap' atomic CO2 diffusers from that auction site that I paid $12 a piece for and they're still going strong after 4 years. Can't see paying any more than in all honesty ! They are also on smaller 10/20 Gallon tanks. Any larger I'd go the...

Which LED Light Fixture is Better for Live Plants?

I know this brand isn't one of your above options, but I recently picked one of these up to replace a ' way too bright Finnex Ray2' on my tank. It's the same thing as a Finnex Planted + 24/7, at a much cheaper price. Works great, and plants are growing fine. It's crazy I bought a $40 light to...
