Try feeding garlic or garlic soaked food to your fish. This will boost their immune system and prevent ich. Better survival rate.

Garlic contain allicin which acts as an antibacterial agent. This boosts the immune system in fish as well as humans. Whilst it does not kill ich it does help fish fight it. Prevention is always better rather than curing it after the outbreak.

Try feeding it mashed up garlic or soaking your fish food with garlic. Worked a treat with my clowns.

Try garlic. Get a small small bit of garlic and mash it up then feed to fish. Or soak pellets in garlic water then feed. I have had success with this with freshwater and saltwater.

Have you check that your thermometer isn't faulty?

Had no probs with mine. Only a little off but calibrated it with the red dial. Mine sits at a constant 78.

Have you tried calibrating it with the red dial?
