When my t5 light starts up it flashes/strobes for a little while then slows down, finally stopping. Is this definitely a ballast problem, or could it be something else? Thanks, -Steve

Thanks, I wanted someone to either confirm or reject what I was thinking... I like the AC 70 also, but the lip of the tank is too large for it to fit over so I have to keep the water level REALLY HIGH. Plus I need more filtration once I start adding more fish...

I have a cycled filter (AC70) I am replacing it with a new filter (xp3) If I take ALL of the media out of the old and put it in the new I should not have a cycle, because all of the media will be transfered over, thus saving all of the bacteria that was built up on it. Thanks, -Steve

There are some on every glass surface as well as a couple that I have seen on my plants. I would say there are a low-moderate number. As long as something doesn't hurt my tanks I usually would rather have it in there. I like a variety of life!

I dont know if they are some kind of snail ( I dont know where they would have come from) They have an oval clear outer part and a tan inner "body" the largest ones are appx. 3mm long and 2mm wide. They do move along the glass. What could these be? Are they a problem? Should I mutilate...

I have white dots all over the piece of driftwood that is in my 20 Long. I don't know what it is or what it could be. There are no dots on any of the fish. The dots are < 1mm in diameter. About the size of a . TIA for the help! -Steve
