White dots on driftwood

I have white dots all over the piece of driftwood that is in my 20 Long.

I don't know what it is or what it could be.

There are no dots on any of the fish.

The dots are < 1mm in diameter. About the size of a .

Is it a new peice of wood? Where did you get it?

It has been in the tank for appx. 2-2.5 months.

I bought it from drfostersmith.com

I bought another piece from them earlier and never saw these...

Do you have snails? I have Olive Nerite snails that leave behind white dots (eggs).
