    Shrimp Tank

Just an update, counted 49 babies just now, I've had counts of up to 60. Don't think any are dying though just hiding. They are molting like crazy lol. I see all these tiny little shrimp molts all over so that is a good sign. Also assassin snail eggs...I can still see the casing for the eggs...

    Help! Snails

You can toss a piece of zucchini in the tank at night and pull it out with snails on it in the morning, a lot of people don't like this one but I'll say it anyways, you can buy some assassin snails to control the population, I have assassins but I bought them as a pet before I had snails because...

    How compatible are different shrimp?

They should be fine together, but I've heard amano shrimp can be pigs and hog all the food, just make sure the cherry shrimp are getting plenty and everything should be okay.

    Question about driftwood

You should be able to, best driftwood to use is hardwood, and you'll need to do a bit to prep it for your tank. One thing is to remove any bark if it has any left, another you need to make sure it sinks, you can either soak it, tie something heavy to it, or boil it depending on how big it is, or...

    Harlequin Rasbora eggs?

Ramshorn eggs, a lot of snails lay eggs under the water, the only one that lays them above water that I know of (I'm sure there's more that do though) are mystery snails.

    Cherry shrimp eggs?

Green eggs are fine, all mine have yellow eggs, but green eggs aren't unheard of. Give it a few weeks and you should have little shrimplets scampering around your tank. If she does drop it, more than likely it just means it's her first time around, and she's inexperienced at handling them.

    Bamboo shrimp

Hey absolute, thanks for reminding me about this point...If you see one picking alot at the gravel or whatever substrate you have, that means they are looking for food, you may not be feeding enough.

Need help On planted shrimp tank

I prefer a HOB filter with a sponge prefilter, I like a bit more flow in my tanks, but as far as them gassing off co2 I'm not sure. I mean a sponge filter does the same thing or even letting the water sit for 24 hours, you can only gas off so much right?

    Bamboo shrimp

These are filter feeding shrimp, so you need to have live plants, decent flow that the can reach, and a mature tank. I believe it's 20 gallons for 1? Anyone remember? You can crush up some food for them and squirt it directly at their fans to supplement their diets, but I've never tried that...

    Help!Fish dying of parasite!

Did you see it on or come out of your fry? It sounds like a nematode to me, some are parasitic some aren't from what I understand. I have one in my shrimp tank that doesn't do much of anything that I can see besides swim around.

    Shrimp Tank

More shrimp pics, this one decided to hang out on my hand while i did a water change/straighten up a bit inside the tank. Lil sucker would not let go till I pulled my hand out. I'm right handed and was taking pics with my left hand in a strange position so they may not be all that good lol.

    Snails Aliens

Anything that has been submerged in another tank may or may not have snails/snail eggs on it. You could of gotten them from a plant, live purchase if you dumped the water it, all different kinds of ways to get snails. As far as good or bad, I enjoy snails, they help clean up the tank and I...
