Squeekness, the reptile wood is most likely grapewood. I bought a piece of it, thinking I could substitute it for the Malaysian driftwood which is more expensive. It never did sink, and after a while, a white fungus started growing on it. I've heard other people say this happened to them too...

I had that happen when I bought some tiny little cories. The girl set the bag down and one of their tails got caught in the corner. He wiggled free, but his WHOLE tail came off! Right up to the peduncle! It eventually grew back, but is now misshapen. It's the only way I can tell him apart...

I'm changing the tank background to a solid color, but cant decide between blue or black. I have a 10g with a betta (black with red and dark blue fins) and some neons. I don't want the neons colors to be washed out by the blue background, but don't want to lose the betta against the black...
