I was reading that air bubblers will gas off your co2. I have a 29 g with an emperor 280 with bio wheel filter. When i dose carbon i usually turn lights on for about 30 minutes before. Should i also be turning filter off? If so for how long and should i float the biowheel somewhere to keep wet...
I read on here that black blasting sand could be used too. I had already bought black sand from lfs. The black really makes plants and fish pop. Just another option. I think 50lbs was $10 at tractor supply store.

I ran out of co2 booster and lfs was out of stock. I have read alot about using metricide. Has anyone used it long term without any negative effects? Also any tips? Or should i stick with using api co2 booster? Thanks

Maybe some sort of pot scrubber or sponge would let water pass and filter fine particles? I know it would have to not having any soap or additives and be rinsed very well.
