I have to get a new test kit today when I go to lunch and can post those results. I have a few big pieces of Texas Holey Rock, so I would have to make sure to factor in the fact that it could raise the pH.
My last house, which is close to here, had 7.2-7.5 out of the tap. I imagine it would be...
Hey y'all,
Stocking up my new 75G tank. I'm not a noob with cycling, etc so yeah it's cycled and ready to go. The biggest tank I've ever had was a 46 bowfront so this is a massive upgrade for me in terms of opening doors for new species. I currently have 4 cory cats (survived the Texas freeze...
I have some Anacharis in there right now and some Bacopa and I for sure want some Crypt Wendtii and Undulata. I will have a good Marineland light that was used in my other tank (Texas ice storm killed everyone) so I will have high light but no co2. This tank is a 20 long. I'm also doing DIY...
Got some neon tetras the other day and these popped up. I had some rogue snails not that long ago but haven't seen them since. My tank also houses corydoras and a single basic pleco
The eggs are placed on 3 different sides of the aquarium glass.
About to order my Fluval 15 gallon flex and because of the dimensions its perfect for the stand I have already.
I'm planning on going heavy on plants and scape in general to get a jungle feel.
I need fish recommendations. The water here in texas is pretty hard. It runs 8ph out of the tap.
Thanks for the advice, guys. Got some melafix and dosed before I left for work one evening and when I woke up the next afternoon its significantly smaller
Well the multis are being territorial. There are 2 batches of fry in each of the corner of the tanks. They mostly try and bully and the Julie's but the Julie's do try and eat the fry.
Possible this guy got a little too close to the fry?
This is the 2nd day of this. I honestly thought it was brine shrimp left overs when I first saw it cause that's what I feed them and the 2 batches of fry I have gotten.
I haven't seen them herd around the fry and discovered another set of fry last night. So it's going to be crazy in the tank soon. The moms are guarding them heavily but no other activity so far.
Just got some new fry the other day. Any suggestions on how to feed them? I've seen people say moss balls. I usually feed the adults crushed up cichlid pellets. I have frozen bbs, blood worms, beef hearts, and vegetable tablet things.
So, I went out and got cichlid sinking pellets for them to start. Well, they're way to big for their mouths. Any other ideas on what to feed them? I wouldn't mind making DIY food either.
