Ok, whats up every one! I havent posted here in a long time, but I figured I would drop in and show off a little!:cool: Here are a few pics of how things are going, and the details of the 2 year old tank. The tank is a 37 gal AGA. I have it on a small marble counter that used to be a window...

Trust me it is a gigas.....it never closes fully...gigas are the only giant clams that cant close fully. The green coral is a giant matt of green star polyps. They are also on the rock to the right of it, and in the upper right corner.

Here are some new shots. I have added more eagle eyes, a few green and red shrooms, and a yuma to the tank since the last pics. Ohh and the acro looks different because I turned it around.

That is in no way shape or form like keeping a hippo tang in a 10 gal. That is a fish and it needs room to swim. A clam is a generally sesile invertabrate. It doesnt care how much space it is in, as long as it isnt touching anything and has room to grow. And a small clam like this may grow an...

If they are not OPE's, then I am not sure what they are....They are twice the size of any other zoas in my tank, and certainly are not palys. Your guess is as good as mine! Sice I took that pic, the colony has doubled in size, growing as fast as bobby browns!...This has also led me to beleive it...

Thanks for the compliments. Actually, the purp tip acro is an A. Vaghuani...a deep water acro that will be brown/orange no matter how you keep it. The guy I got the frag from has a football sized colony under 250W 14k halides and it is the exact same color. The clam is going on 1 year 2 months...

I know people who have crashed systems using FW exit. Im glad you are having good luck with it! My FW's are easy to keep up with, just syphoning them, but they can be annoying to look at......and from what I heard six lines only eat them sometimes.

You brave for using FW eXit...I hope your eel doesnt die! I would do as many pwc's as you can stand!

A panther grouper was the most pet like fish I ever owned...came to the surface and you could actually touch him...he now lives in my fathers tank...still alive after 7 years...he is huge, over a foot long, and you can still touch him!

No, they dont work. Get skilter 250 and mod it with an air stone for a very effective HOB skimmer that doesnt take up tank space like the fission. I have a post in the nano reefs section detailing how to do this.

Peps will tear up xenia and similar soft corals, Mine devoured 10 plus full size stalks of pink xenia in a matter of a week, once he got a taste for them. Unless you keep them feed with brine ect, they will eat your corals. IMO, once the aiptasia are gone, they are worthless, and not reef safe...

Yeah, I figured that. I dont go by their advice, I post here :lol: This will be in the future, I dont rush into anything. I think a single resplendent will be the best option.

I have been looking at a single lyretail or a pair of resplendent, or a single mail, I know that species is smaller, but if they are too big or to agrressive as a pair, I would keep just a male. Live Aquaria says the resplendent can be kept in a 25 gal as a single fish. Are they aggressive?

Anthias are always seen in pairs or more, as are clowns, but I was wondering if they can thrive being kept as a single fish? What would the smallest tank a single anthia could live in?....Im sure I could keep one alive in a 10 gal but I want to be humane here. Maybe 40 gallons? I have a 37 gal...
