How do you clean your lights? I have some salt build up do I wait until they are cooled down and wipe them with vinegar?

my calcium test is at 410 is that too high? TIA

okay I bought a alk. test and it says to drop one drop in until it turns a yellow green. the first time I did it it took 12 drops = to 6.0 meg/L. the 2nd time it only took 10= 5.0 meg/ L. Am I doing this right? and where should it be? TIA

Okay it looks like my little buddy (clam) is growing. His shell has gotten fat. and the width of the shell is about 1/2 inch bigger. Is the shell the only way you can tell if he is growing or will the flesh part grow as well? And is it normal for them to look fatter? TIA

Okay I have some salt that I bought about 3 weeks ago. I left it in the box and now it has become clumpy. Is it still good? Or should I just toss the clumps? Also I have 2 brands of salt could I mix the 2 together? TIA

I have an instant ocean hydrometer and it was given me off the wall readings so I went and bought a deep six hyd. both gave me completely different readings. So I went and ordered a refractometer from foster and smith. It will be here friday cant wait! are they fairly easy to read?

anyone keep lobsters? I am wanting to get my husband a reef only tank. because the creatyres he likes are not reef safe. I would like to get him a puffer and something else. looking at the spiny blue lobster at drs. foster and smith. would they be compatable? or the pink one? TIA
