We've had all our fish for a while with the low ammonia and haven't had trouble. I've cut back feedings and do a couple of water changes a week and can't seem to get 0 ammonia
Water parameters are normal. Ammonia has be .25 or ļess. I check once a week if not more and all the other fish are fine.
I have a top fin 40 in the 20G tank
We do a large water change monthly or as needed. Otherwise 15 to 30 percent.
No new fish except añ algea eater. This was over a week...
Ok my readings have been about .25 or less for ammonia and nitrates were creeping up but still not over the 30ppm. I will look into the things you've mentioned in the post and see if this will help. Thank you so much!
Anyone have tips on how to get rid and keep the Brown algae at bay? I'm guessing that it's Brown diatoms. I've been trying to cut down on amount of light but not sure what else to do.
Thanks. It's a work in process. I'm trying to add real plants and get the decor the way I want. I want to add more plants to hide the bubble wand. As soon as I figured out how it worked I put the bubbler into the tank.
Not sure what's happening. Water parameters seem fine but I'm losing fish. My algea eater died yesterday and then today a platy died. We added 3 platys and the algea eater on Friday to our 20 gallon tank. The 3 tetras we have had for a while are seemingly fine. Not sure if the dwarf frog is...
