Help! What is wrong with my Dwarf Gourami?

I was also going to suggest dwarf gourami disease- if that was the case, there’s nothing you could have done. So sorry for your loss :(

White splotch on black molly -- appears to be acting normal

Hmmm, not sure. Beginning of fin/tail rot? or Columnaris? I would look both of those up with associated symptoms and start with water changes for any imperfect water parameters. Also, I’ve learned recently to pay particular attention to pH, GH, and KH with mollies to ensure good osmoregulation...

    Molly with popeye

If there is insufficient improvement after you finish the Kanaplex, you may want to try erythromycin/Maracyn for the eye issues… I’ve read from several sources that it is the best suited for those https://www.aquarium-pond-answers.com/2009/01/streptococcus-eye-infections.html?m=1...

Whole Tank of Mollies and Platies are sick, HELP?!

I don’t know… that could be Columnaris (anyone?) If so, I have had success treating my four mollies for that with Kanaplex and Furan-2 together (Google how to administer together). They completely healed and it hasn’t returned :)

    Molly with popeye

Another option is erythromycin, as it is supposed to be very effective for eye issues.

Betta fish fin rot and possible dropsy

Hi, sorry for your poor betta. Everyone has different opinions on dropsy- but most say it is fatal. That said, I am not one to give up, and recently was able to heal (at least temporarily) my molly with signs of swim bladder disease, which most also say is usually incurable. I’ve tried many...

What the heck is my molly suffering from?

Hi all, I’m posting a few pictures to see if anyone had seen these white patches/film before. I have since quarantined this sweet molly who I raised from a little fry, so any help would be appreciated. She originally looked like this gradually, but always had an appetite. Then she started...

Help! Dwarf Gourami with red lesions

Hi all, I am posting this for a friend as a last ditch effort, so I do not have all her water parameters but she just placed her powder blue gourami in a QT anyway. He has been lethargic and now very short of breath, and darting around for air. Main symptom seemed to start as red bubble-like...

    Help! Nitrates always high.

Nitrates are usually high in my 65 gallon... I can’t seem to find the balance. I’ve added plants to the tank, keep it clean, don’t over feed, and have only one albino Ahli cichlid in there. I have two Penguin 350 bio wheel filters running, lots of air stones and caves. Lately, bc my fish wasn’t...

Is this Pop-Eye? Only seeing it really in pregnant fish

Oh yeah- and it is best to medicate the food (vs. use as bath treatment)

Is this Pop-Eye? Only seeing it really in pregnant fish

Oh gosh, I can relate to the heater issue : { if the temperature fluctuated rapidly, the stress of it could have brought on infection. I can’t tell if their eyes are really swollen, (any side pix?) but if so, Kanaplex has worked really well for me for those spectrum of infections, especially...

Moving, need to give away pets

Maybe Facebook? I’ve been told there is a group “aqua swap” in which you sell/trade and maybe give away aquatic animals, equipment, etc.

Thanks, Aiken! I guess I should be looking into a water filter for my downstairs faucet then... or is there a more targeted water conditioner? Like maybe Fritz Aquatics Complete Water Conditioner?

    Skirt Tetra Help!!!!!

Also, IMHO they should not be hiding or swimming in circles after tank assimilation (few days). Mine will school quite often, even though there are only 4. Initially, when I saw one of them breathing heavily, I discovered high ammonia in the tank; luckily, I got to it fast. Nowadays, I rely on...

    Skirt Tetra Help!!!!!

Hi, Where did you purchase the fish? I can’t answer for the GloFish variety but I have 4 black skirt tetras I purchased from a reputable local fish store and they have been great! I actually was still cycling my 29 gallon tank at the time I bought them, and they have been through that (hell)...

    Help! Nitrates always high.

Please help - I need advice re: water in my fish tanks. I have been using Prime for a while, which seems like a good water conditioner but I’m not sure if it detoxifies chlorine and chloramine equally. Not only has our plain tap water tested positive for small amounts of ammonia, I’ve noticed...
