Has anybody else ever noticed a snail shooting out some "stuff" into the water column. Tonight I noticed this happening it would shoot is #$% out every 15-seconds or so. I am assuming something to do with reproduction but I dont know?????:confused:

I have been bad about testing for magnesium. I tested it tonight since its been awhile and it tested 1020 which I think is low. Do you dose magnesium and if so what brand etc etc? What level do you shoot for?

Does anybody use a filter sock in the sump for the overflow water coming into the first chamber? What is the method to wash it for reuse. I have read about throwing it in the washing maching, but when I think about doing that I think about possible phosphate issues etc. Thanks

Do you guys have a unit in place that automatically tops your sump off with fresh water? Or is it a daily thing to add freshwater to the sump manually? I am switching over to a small sump and would like to have a auto top of system in place. But don't know what to do.
