Im in the middle of making a wet dry sump filter out of a 5 gallon tank. Its going under a retro 15 gallon steel and glass aquarium with slate bottom. anyway i know the filter is enough I was just wondering how large a tank do you think a 5 gallon support?

My nitrates stay under 5.0 on my medium to heavy planted tank. Nitrite o and Ammonia was under .25. Should i reduce water changes add fish? Im not used to plants eating all the Nitrates. It seems to be a good problem to have!

This sounds odd but I have a red tail that absolutely hates 1! fish. A poor little ram. I have 3 but it hunts down just the one, even passing by the other rams til it finds it. Im thinking the stress is going to kill it.

I have just made a 3 liter co2 gen, it works really well putting out 1 bubble per second. I have not used co2 before and need some advise. A lot of people seem to be letting the bubbles go into a canister filter to be diffused. Anybody have an arguement against this? Its a Fluval 305

I posted this in fresh and then realized you guys pile a ton of weight into your tanks. How do you prepare / protect your tanks from heavy reefs / rocks. Foam? Styro? Just a deep substrate? And do tanks ever crack from the weight?
