Personally I would feed ever other day. My Ranchus love peas flatten them 1st. This aids in their digestive system prevents swim bladder disease very common in Ranchus
Yes that should be good. Keep water temperature 78 for the ottos. Of course the goldfish can handle colder temps but not Ottos. Someday move up to Ranchus they are awesome looking. Pricey but Awesome must order online can't find at fish stores in general.

No worries just keep an eye on it . Generally if water temperatures are above 78 f this can happen or could also be knew growth. If it turns into open wound than dose with melafix .

What causes my tiger and blue velvet shrimp to die after they molt . tank consist of Celestrial pearl danios ,tigers/velvet blue shrimp. ppm is 200 ph around 7.0. temp 74 F degrees. o nitrates and ammonia.
My CPO had babies and all have died accept two . They are in a healthy thriving shrimp tank so the water parameters seem to be fine. Im wondering if they did not get enough to eat .I never saw them eating anything.
