Hey all. Just got a new 75 gal for my bday and looking for some ideas to go with my other fishies. We currently have a plecko, a red parrot cichlid, a convict cichlid and a red-tail shark. 75 gal is a huge upgrade for me, so I'm looking for any fish ideas that would go with these 4.

Woke up this am and the water in the tank was crystal clear. Only had to do is 2 water changes.

I syphoned as much of the food up as I could, the did a 50% water change and the water is still murky. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Ok... I've always seen a steady return to the tank. So, I'm not too sure of it's really working and filtering properly or what. Any thoughts?

Well, like I said, I cleaned it all out and put it back together. There were a couple of small stones or something in with the impeller shaft. How can I tell if it's filtering properly now, without pulling it off the tank and looking at the sponge again? Thanks for all your help guys. 

I have the sponge and charcoal. When I took it apart to clean it today, the sponge looked like it was barely dirty, which led me to believe that the water wasn't being cleaned at all and just going straight through the bypass.

It's an AC/ 50 on a 30g tank. Would a filthy impeller cause it to not work and clean the water properly. It's a lot quieter now after I cleaned it than it was before.

You can turn off the signature in the more tab, under settings and posting options. I believe you can also change what it says for your signature too. Mine is set to say "Sent from my iPhone from Aquarium" but it is set to off. Hope that helped everyone.
