I'm sorry ur fish are dying. I would agree with more oxygen. Not big stone but bigger pump. And I'd look into the nutrients--dont know if that's probable but it sounds right.. check it out. Look forward to hearing how it works out for u.

The Betta is a beauty...I think its fine. I would say some stress. And I'd cut the salt. But you should have cycled the water....it doesn't look sick and doesn't sound sick. Other than the tears he acts like regular? If yes then I wouldn't worry... Look forward to future blogs. Welcome to as.

REs=red ear slider... regular aquarium heater is ok.. has far as being beat up I'd have the vet ck it out. But if there are no wounds then just some good loving care should do.
