RES looks changing

Hi! Question here! My red ear slider turtle has the red stripe behind the eye/ where the ears are well it is changing color likeits fading. He recently had a run in with my plec and lost a scute and was bleeding. He has medicine for that and is doing good. Except now I see the red looks faded. I am worried about infection. Eats fine and is active. Acts normal. Should I worry?
