Sorry. I bought 1 betta and it died in 17 hrs. Bought a second betta and it died in 30 hrs. Only 1 fish was in the tank at a time.
Temp is 78 degrees with a heater.
I got a 6 gallon Aqueon. I cycled the aquarium using fishless fuel for 3 weeks i was dosing up to 2ppm ammonia and doing 50% water changes when Nitrate went over 20ppm.
For 1 week within 24 hrs Nitrite/Ammonia would test 0ppm. Using liquid tester.
Prior to the fish i did two 75% water...
I have had a lot of experience with swim bladder issues in fancies.
JLK is right, first you need to eliminate the offending food. Flakes are terrible for fancies get a high quality sinking pellet(NLS or Omega One). Also fresh veggies are key.
Peas and Epsom salt only deal with constipation...
Accidentally left the intake for my Fluval 406 closed then went on vacation for 4 days. The motor is completely burned out. I am unable to find a motor online.
Is anyone aware of where I could get a new motor assembly?
My daughter forced me to get a Petco baby Betta through tears about a month ago. We keep him by himself in a 5 gallon next to my bed. I though it was kind neat watching him develop. He eats Hikari Bloodworms and NLS.

It took awhile for my Goldfish to realize the veggies were edible just keep putting them in and pulling them out after 24 hours. Also as suggested you can try other veggies.
I think I got behind on this thread but i see a couple posts on making medicated food. Not sure if this is what your are looking for.

I would agree with mummy and wait 24 hours before trying new meds to be safe. Also follow the instructions and do 1 pack per 10 gallons. Even disperse it throughout the tank.
Cute! I was going to get one for my 25 gallon ( instead of tropical fish). When they swim it cracks me up. Haha search YouTube for "tinko the big fat ranchu" this guy has a gigantic one.
