It's not the first time it's happened, I had one get sucked in when I was doing a pwc. That one later died, and since then I have raised the tubing. Just odd how this one, fairly large at 5 months old met his fate the same way.

I think it's time for me to try the pantyhose over the filter inlet idea. One of my ghost shrimp met his demise today, as his head was sucked into the filter inlet. Other than pantyhose over the inlet, does anyone else have suggestions?

Lol, I wish I had loaches to go around, I have an issue with my 10g. Everything I put in there is dying (fish wise) but I do have some wisteria that needs to be transplanted to my 29g, should I use the dip method just to be safe?

My plants are literally falling apart! I got anacharis for the fact that it doesn't need much light, but why are they just falling apart? They have been in the tank for 3 weeks. I know these go through a period when you first get them and they can do this, but why 3 weeks later?

Sadly my petsmart doesn't do it, they don't even have paper bags. You could bring little sack lunch bags with you, only a few dollars for a pack. I'm going to do this so I always have them.

I had asked the same question when I was adding to my cory stock. Someone said they will group but not school if they are different breeds. So now I have 5 albino's. The preferred number to get is 4-6 I believe. Also, I have black moon sand for a substrate and it really makes the albinos POP. So...

So as some know I have a 29g planted tank, the substrate I am using is the black tahitian moon sand. I have been thinking about redoing the substrate. I want to remove the sand, place like a plant soil down then cover it with the sand. I have an idea about how to do this, but just wondering...

Try not to hound the op, they had a thread yesterday with people suggesting upgrades. Don't want to cause an issue but want to try and stop frustration at the same time.

Hmm I would say 10 I have a 29g tank with 18 shrimp (amano, GS mix)

I'd suggest putting the new fish bag into a paper bag. It will reduce the natural daylight coming into the bag, which will in turn be more stress free for the fishies.

The angels might pick off the shrimp, just provide them with plenty of hiding spots.
